Previous relevant research work
(1) Ucaps-seq: a method to detect dU at single nucleotide resolution, based on cross-linking and polymerase stalling sequencing;(JACS,2022) (2) Identification of ZCCHC4, which mediates 28S rRNA m6A methylation and controls global translation and cell proliferation;(Nature Chemical Biology,2019) (3) Identification of METTL5, which installs rRNA m6A, regulates translation initiation, and promotes mouse embryonic stem cell differentiation; (EMBO reports, Cell Reports, 2020)(4) m6A modified RNAs promote YTHDF2 to form phase separation;(Protein Cell, 2019) (5) YTHDC2 is an m6A ‘reader’ protein, regulating spermatogenesis;(Cell Research) (6) Zc3h13 is a critical RNA m6A regulator that is part of a complex containing WTAP, Virilizer, and Hakai. Zc3h13 anchors this complex in the nucleus to facilitate m6A methylation and mESC pluripotency(Molecular Cell, 2018).
